# Bug Reports & Bounty (/docs/guides/bug-reports)

Found something broken? Click **Feedback** in the top bar. Reports go straight to the team, and unless you opt out they count toward the bug bounty leaderboard.

## Reporting a Bug [#reporting-a-bug]

1. Click **Feedback** in the top bar
2. Choose **Report a bug**
3. Describe what you were trying to do and what happened
4. Optionally attach a screenshot (up to 5 MB)
5. Click **Submit**

The more specific the description, the faster it gets triaged. "Deploy button does nothing on the preview environment of service X" beats "deploys broken".

### What gets attached automatically [#what-gets-attached-automatically]

You do not need to collect diagnostics. Every bug report also carries:

* The page you were on and the full URL
* Browser, viewport size, and the app version you were running
* A snapshot of the data the app had loaded at that moment, as `debug-data.json`
* A session replay link, so the team can see the steps that led to it

This is why a one-line description is usually enough.

## Suggesting an Idea [#suggesting-an-idea]

Not a bug, but something you wish the app did? Choose **Suggest an idea** from the **Feedback** menu, or switch the dialog to **Idea**. Describe what you would like to see and what it would help you do; a screenshot is welcome. Ideas go straight to the team. They carry the page you sent them from, your browser and viewport, the app version and your active organization, but no data snapshot and no session replay. Ideas are not scored and do not appear on the leaderboard.

## Points and Ranking [#points-and-ranking]

Reports are triaged by the team and scored by severity:

| Severity | Meaning | Points |
| ------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- | ------ |
| **Critical** | Blocks deploy, the application cannot ship | 4 |
| **High** | A feature is broken, the application can still be deployed | 3 |
| **Normal** | UI bug, broken text, copy polish, small visual issue | 2 |
| **Duplicate** | Already reported by someone else | 0 |

Points land on the leaderboard once the report is triaged, so a fresh report is not scored immediately. Reports the team decides not to act on are marked **Won't do** and score nothing.

## The Leaderboard [#the-leaderboard]

Choose **Bug bounty leaderboard** from the **Feedback** menu, or go to `/bug-bounty`. It shows every hunter with their points, their bug counts per severity, and the titles they reported. It refreshes every minute.

Bounties run in **seasons**. When a season has an end date and prizes, both are shown at the top of the leaderboard, and the prizes also appear when you report a bug.

## Keeping a Report Private [#keeping-a-report-private]

Check **Hide this report from the bug bounty leaderboard** in the dialog. The report still reaches the team, it just does not appear publicly and does not score points. Use it when a screenshot or description contains something you would rather not publish.
